The Reverand at Soule’s Chapel is looking to convert you

Near Sugar Hill in Somerset, Kentucky, Soule’s Chapel, located on Soul Chapel Road, has become renowned as one of the most haunted places in the state, according to legend.

The history of the chapel dates back to before the Civil War. During the war, roughly half of the congregation left to start a new church, named Bradley’s Chapel, due to the split in support for both sides.

After the war, the existing congregation joined the members who had left, and Soule’s Chapel became vacant. During the years, other groups took refuge inside, and many believe the rituals performed there were actual satanic rituals.

The chapel eventually fell into ruin, attracting criminal activity, including murder. According to legend, the grounds are home to several ghosts, including “The Reverand,” a witch, and a ghost of a girl in a white dress that is said to haunt the cemetery.
