Some of you may remember this case. Pamela Michelle Murray was 23 years old and was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County, North Carolina, when she was found murdered on Saturday, February 14, 1987.
According to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s website, Murray disappeared from the parking lot of the Asheville Mall. A short time later, her body was discovered in an isolated section just past the Asheville Recreation Park on River Road.
It was also reported that Murray’s Oldsmobile Toronado was returned to the Asheville Mall. But it was parked in a different section of the parking lot from where she was abducted.
To date, Pamela Michelle Murray’s case remains unsolved.
