The Charles P. Wray Home, also known as the Charles Wray Home, was built circa 1910 (Taken from the Historical SC Historic Properties Record) in Ridgeway, South Carolina. The 2.38-acre property and neoclassical house sits at 140 North Dogwood Avenue. Wray was said to be a wealthy merchant and planter, while some suggest he was a railroad executive.

On August 17, 1919, Wray and his wife, Martha Louise Robertson Wray, were struck by a Southern Railroad train that killed the entire family. Some reports say that the couple’s child was with them. However, I am unable to verify this claim. Both are buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Columbia, another haunted location.
Legend says that Charles Wray still haunts the house today, searching for his wife and possibly child as he stands staring from the attic window down the railroad tracks. If you pass this structure, look up and see if you can spot Mr. Wray.
