Tyler Terry and Adrienne Simpson went on a killing spree in May 2021, which ended with Simpson being arrested on May 17, when the duo fled from law enforcement. Terry, on the other hand, had other plans, as he escaped to a wooded area off Highway 9 in Chester County, between Richburg and Fort Lawn.
But what ensued next would lead law enforcement on a week-long manhunt to find Tyler Terry.
On May 17, deputies attempted to pull over a suspicious vehicle around 11:00 p.m. in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Richburg when shots were fired. A police chase began when the car failed to stop, and it lasted approximately 20 to 30 miles.

The chase would go into York County, then down Highway 901 and back into Chester County. Later, the car crashed on Highway 9, near Lewisville High School.
On Friday, May 21, 2021, deputies more than doubled their manpower in the search, including expanding the search perimeter beyond Fishing Creek, closer to the Fort Lawn area.
On Sunday, May 23, Terry was located off Ligon Road around 2:40 p.m.. Still, it wouldn’t be until Monday, May 24, that Tyler Terry would be arrested after the week-long manhunt and booked into the Chester County Detention Center.
In November 2022, Adrienne Simpson and Tyler Terry each pleaded guilty to multiple murders and other crimes, with both receiving sentences of life in prison without parole.
