Camp Lejeune, located in Jacksonville, North Carolina, is a large military base in eastern North Carolina. It is also known as a paranormal hot spot with a famous resident specter, The Lady in White. Many have seen her apparition through the years at the guard gate late at night.
Many stories have circulated about how she met her demise and why she chose this place to spend eternity. One legend says she was killed in an accident close to this spot, while others say she is still waiting for her husband to return from war.
She appears in a 1950s-style white dress. One soldier captured this image of the ghostly lady while on patrol.
According to many, Jacksonville is considered The Most Haunted City in North Carolina. Is The Lady in White speaking from the grave, still searching for her long-lost love?
