Graniteville Cemetery predates the Civil War and was established in 1850 by William Gregg, who founded the Graniteville Mill and town.
According to multiple online sites, the graveyard may be the final resting place for many, but what happens under that beautiful South Carolina moon is a different story.
The Lantern covered this cemetery in 2023, and some believe the Graniteville Cemetery is one of the most haunted in the state.
People have reported hearing laughter from children, and one legendary tale claims that a witch is buried here and is said to roam the grounds late at night, after which the laughter heard turns to screams.
The old graveyard is also home to the grave of The Little Boy.
