One bridge in the middle of the country, said to be haunted by demonic spirits, is the Billy Goat Bridge in Cherokee County, near the York County town of Hickory Grove and Lockhart, South Carolina.
Many believe dark entities surround this area because of an alleged history of witchcraft. Unfortunately, not much is known about its history, but it is a creepy place. People have reported apparitions in front of them, metal noises, lights, orbs deep in the woods, vehicles not starting, and disembodied voices. Fragments of an old house sit near the bridge, with only the chimney left to tell the tale.
