Some in the paranormal field have deemed the Historic Belton Train Depot the most haunted location in the Upstate of South Carolina, with as many as eight resident ghosts. The area was once home to a bustling cargo and passenger train business, but those days are long past.
Built in 1910, the Belton Depot was a central hub for visitors looking to hop the train. The present-day location replaces an earlier one.
Today, the building is used by the Belton Area Museum Association. Unfortunately, many specters await inside forever, stuck in limbo between a sunlit world and the dark side for eternity.
