A ghostly confederate soldier has been seen over the years walking the grounds at Augusta University’s Summerville campus in Augusta, Georgia.
According to an article by WJBF news channel six on October 24, 2024, Angela Young, who worked at the University at the time as the Campus Visitor Experience Coordinator, stated, “We have heard of sightings of a young soldier dressed in the grey of the Civil War moving toward the cemetery.”
Since no major Civil War battles were fought in Augusta, is the ghostly soldier seen around campus, going back to his grave, when he is observed by onlookers?
