Tigerville, South Carolina, is a picturesque town situated in northern Greenville County. Besides North Greenville University, the area is mainly considered a very rural area, where mountains greet you on one side and farmland on the other.
So, when two bodies were discovered in the area in the summer of 1978, it sent shockwaves through the quiet mountain community.
On July 11, 1978, the bodies of two Asheville, North Carolina, residents, Donna McKracken, aged 22, and David Clemishaw, aged 28, were found along a creek bed on Barton Road. A migrant farmer reportedly found the victims, and the cause of death was ruled strangulation. Both were blindfolded, with their hands tied behind their backs.

Soon, police began to follow up on leads that stemmed from multiple states, but the case eventually went cold.
Someone knows something. Two people just don’t strangle themselves and end up along a creek bed, blindfolded, with their hands tied.
No arrests have ever been made in connection with their deaths.
