Christopher Lee Cessna was 45 years old when he went missing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in April 2011. Cessna was living in Cary, North Carolina, at the time. His disappearance was initially reported to the Cary Police Department after his family noticed he had been out of contact.

Cessna’s 2009 Audi was found parked at Newfound Gap, near the Appalachian Trail. At first, his car didn’t raise concerns, because it’s common for vehicles to be left for an extended time by people who hike and visit.
But, as time went by, Christopher Lee Cessna never returned. He is listed as one of five people who remain missing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The case of Dennis Martin, who disappeared in 1969, is the first.
Cessna is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 230 pounds, with brown hair.
Anyone who may have seen Cessna is asked to call the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at 865-436-1230.
