The Cold Case of Kathi Goff Kennedy in Kernersville, North Carolina

On Monday, October 17, 1994, around 7 p.m., Kathi Goff Kennedy was last seen alive. This year marks 31 years since Kennedy was found murdered inside her apartment off Salisbury Street in Kernersville, North Carolina.

According to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, the crime remains the Kernersville Police Department’s only unsolved murder case.

Mrs. Kennedy had been beaten and stabbed multiple times inside her residence. It was also reported that her two daughters, ages 4 and 18 months, were found inside, unharmed. Kathi’s husband was out of town at the time and is not considered a suspect in her death. Her body was discovered on October 18th by her mother.

The family had reportedly only lived at the complex for three weeks.
