Madalina would have turned 14 years old on April 11 of this year; instead, she has been missing since 2022. Cojocari was just 11 years old when she mysteriously disappeared after she got off a school bus in Mecklenburg County in the town of Cornelius.
Her case, like other missing person cases, is very suspicious, which sparked a significant investigation that is still underway. Cojocari disappeared in November 2022. It was the last time she was publicly seen, and it was reported that local authorities weren’t immediately notified about the missing girl.
Reportedly, Madalina Cojocari was reported missing two weeks later. According to a WBTV News article from this year, “Cojocari was a student at Bailey Middle School in Cornelius at the time of her disappearance,” and “She lived on Victoria Bay Drive near Catawba Avenue and I-77, just a few miles from the school.”
It was further stated that the girl’s family was quiet and mostly kept to themselves. When the young girl failed to show up at school during those two weeks, a school counselor began questioning Madalina’s whereabouts.
The mother and stepfather were charged with failing to report the little girl missing, and it was later stated that the mother, Diana Cojocari, left the country and is from Moldova.
It has been three years since Madalina disappeared, and she has yet to be found.
