According to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, on Tuesday, January 6, 2004, Joshua Matthew Davis and his cousin were walking in a Garner, North Carolina, neighborhood toward Davis’s home. They had recently left Davis’s cousin’s house when his cousin had to return to his home to retrieve something.
When the cousin returned a few minutes later, Davis was observed injured, lying on the side of Hall Boulevard, bleeding.
He was transported to Wake Medical Center, where he passed away.
