Spinx is a larger company, based in Greenville, South Carolina, that operates in the convenience store and car wash industries. Perhaps, you have visited one of these establishments in the past.
Months ago, I stopped into the Spinx gas station on Whitehorse Road, grabbing a coffee one morning. The manager and I discussed haunted locations, as I was penning my first book. She mentioned a store that she had previously worked at, the Spinx gas station at 2921 Geer Highway in Marietta, South Carolina. During her time at that store, she had worked with a woman who had fallen ill and ultimately passed away sometime around 2011 or 2012.
Soon after the woman’s passing, things reportedly began to happen inside the store, like items moving off the shelf onto the floor, the front door buzzer would go off when no one was at the door, and other strange events.
I stopped at that store and talked with an employee as I paid for a few items, and she confirmed that she doesn’t like working 3rd shift, because that is usually when odd things occur.
I can not prove that this store is indeed haunted, but it does seem to have some strange encounters, especially during late-night hours.
