The Phantom Horse of Cary

The ghostly horse has reportedly been seen around the Page-Walker Arts & History Center at 119 Ambassador Loop in Cary, North Carolina.

Peggy Van Scoyoc wrote it in her book Just a Horse-Stopping Place. Reportedly, the Page homestead was a stopping point for Union soldiers during the Civil War.

One of the soldiers passed away on the property, and when his fellow soldiers went to tend to his horse the next day, it was nowhere to be found.

Legend says that after the war had ended, and years later, people staying at the Page-Walker Hotel reported hearing a horse galloping at full speed. However, when they went to look for the animal around the property, they never found it. It was almost like the sounds just disappeared.
