One place rumored to be haunted in beautiful Key West, Florida, is Captain Tony’s Saloon, located at 428 Greene Street.
Built in 1851 as the Island’s Ice House, it also doubled as the morgue. It is reported that the old tree in the center of the bar was used as the Island’s hanging tree.
Reportedly, 17 people lost their lives, and one of them was a younger woman who was accused of killing her husband and child. While another story says she murdered her husband and two sons.
The woman was hanged in a blue dress, and it was reported that even today, you may catch a bluish glimpse of “The Lady in Blue” as she roams through the bar.
The other 16 that were killed on the site were pirates.
