The 2001 Cold Case of Judy Rawlings

Judy Carol Rawlings was born in 1985, near Asheboro, North Carolina. The 16-year-old left her home in early October 2001 for a doctor’s appointment in nearby Greensboro around 7:30 a.m., but she never returned.

According to the cold cases listed on the Randolph County website, a local had given her a ride on a four-wheeler and left her at Farlow Oil Company. Unfortunately, a hunter found her body on October 19 in a field about a half-mile away from Groom Road.

Today, her case remains cold. Someone knows what happened to Judy Rawlings.

The Office of the Governor had offered a reward of $5,000. A $5,000 reward from Randolph County Crime Stoppers is currently being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the incident.
