The Tybee Island Lighthouse is the oldest and tallest lighthouse in Georgia. Through the years, it has also been rumored to be haunted. Isn’t every lighthouse supposed to have a ghostly legend of a lightkeeper attached to it?
Reportedly, this lighthouse is no different, and the ghost of the former keeper, who died in a tragic accident, is said to walk the floors still.
Another spirit said to be present is the five-year-old daughter of the keeper, named Lachlan.
According to online reports, visitors have reported spooky occurrences while inside, including sightings of shadowy figures and hearing footsteps.
