Legend states that if you go to 140 Crosson Street in Newberry on certain nights, you may encounter a ghostly bride still looking for her lover in the afterlife. The Bride of West End is said to roam the West End Cemetery. The apparition of a melancholy bride has been seen sitting in nearby trees, standing near her grave, in the fields close by, and roaming the grounds. Rumor says she is still waiting for her lover to come and pick her up for their wedding. If you should see a young lady in a wedding dress in the middle of the night in this area, you should heed the warning and leave.
