Legend says many years ago, a beautiful young woman was set to marry, but the young man died near shore when his boat capsized. Mary fell into a grief-stricken state and eventually took her own life.
It is said, late at night, that you can still see Mary wandering the beaches and forests with her lantern of St. Simons Island in Georgia, still searching for her lost love.
