The legend in Virginia Beach, Virginia, says to never stop on Elbow Road, or you may face the spirit of Mrs. Woble. Allegedly, Mrs. Woble was an elderly lady who lived in a small house in the sharp bend of this road. Reportedly, she was murdered, but her body was never found. Some have reported seeing a battered woman wandering this stretch of road, searching for her home.
The road also has a second specter, believed to be the spirit of a little girl who supposedly drowned in a nearby lake. She also appears on this road, and the story surrounding the lore is familiar. If you stop your vehicle on the road at night and sit on your hood, the wet footprints of a child will slowly move toward where you are sitting.
It sounds like Elbow Road leaves drivers seeing red from terror.
