Three Bridges Road is said to be haunted by a Civil War-era slave named Eloise. The legend says Union troops killed the slave plantation owner nearby, and the troubled Eloise was reluctant to leave his side. When the Union soldiers returned the following morning, they found the woman mourning the man’s death and killed her next to the man.

Her ghost now roams the road, screaming for help. People have reported spotting a restless specter late at night near the bridges along the rural section of Three Bridges Road.
